Ms. Selvaraj was a college professor in Somaiya college. She came to know about Aasara through Mr. Sunil Varma, her friend and one of the staff at the time. After her initial visit to the Thane Contact center, she volunteered to spend some time with the children. gradually she brought some drawing books and taught the children some drawing and colouring. After knowing the children little more, she took some academic studies. she went on to sponsor one child's education for half a year.
After about 4 months, she became irregular and finally stopped siting personal and professional reasons. She has agreed to resume once everything gets in place.

Ms. Priyanka came to know of Aasara through her mother who was a member of the Inner Wheel Group supporting Aasara. she used to come to the shelter and spend her time being with the children at times taking school curriculum. She was doing the Dietician course at the same time and did a project with the shelter children. she also worked out a healthy nutritive diet for the children fitting into the financial budget. She also gave tips on cheap but good diet preparation for the children to the staff members. She made a nutrional chart with items. She alongwith Ms. Tripti were the hosts for the Annual Day.She compered the Annual Day programme for 2 years. However on completing the project and furthering into her career, her visits to the shelter started to decrease and finally became occasional. She has given donations and helped in fund raising.
